There were a few years when Gun Digest seemed to have lost its original direction but I'm happy to see they are back to the style of the older books. A great mix of history, field testing and new product reviews.

what words come to mind here? how about 'old' and 'rehashed'this poor collection, a so-called 'digest' is nothing more than rehashed reprints of old articlesnot worth the paper it's printed on and betting articles are available elsewherei'd say 'avoid' this product, and most of the products in its similar vein from the publisher... a really poor collection...and i definitely wouldn't call this 'the world's greatest gun book'no index of the information in the book - good luck finding any useful info quicklyno listing for the Kel-Tec Sub-2000incomprehensible rimfire ballastics listing w/little to no manufacturer infono listing for NAA Ranger II Breaktop, Pug, or Sidewinderno listing for the two Lifecard modelsno listing for Kel-Tec KSGno listing for the Ruger Charger, Charger Takedownand on and on... incomplete!

I buy these every year, they are a pretty good book as a gun guide.

Too many essays on what I would call: "Rifles of the 19th and Early 20th Centuries."Then there are the blatant typographic errors. Wasn't this edition proof–read?Not what I expected.There are better books of higher caliber (sic).
