I bought the first volume a long time ago and I love it. Volume 2 is even better with beautiful color photography. A negative for me is that both volumes feature boats that are generally much more expensive than the vast majority of sailors can afford, particularly when new. In both volumes the text is informative and well written. My Volume 2 was published in 2003. Some of the makers of these top-end sailboats have gone out of business. The designs are classic but the state of the art in sailboat design and construction has evolved in the years since Mate gathered his material. "The World's Best Sailboats", Volumes 1 and 2 are books as beautiful as their subjects. I would eagerly buy a Volume 3.

The book contains a lot of really lovely pictures. I only wish the book had just a little more about sailing, rather than focusing on sailboats as the beautiful art objects they are. Still, a great book for ogling sailboats I couldn't possibly afford.

I bought this as a gift for someone who loves sailboats. He has raced them in the past and has a great appreciation for the historically well made boats. He loves this book and found some of his favorite sailboats inside with a little history behind them.

After loving volume I, I had to purchase volume II while I had the chance. No, I haven't finished volume I as of yet, although the book(s) are packed with spot-on accurate information. Also will serve well for a first time sailor who wants a sailboat with graceful lines, sails well, and will bring a good return on investment.

Good copy as new.

He outdid himself. This book is even better than the first on! Just buy it!

It's a very short pamphlet. Its advice is to pray the Catholic rosary formula, but replace the usual bits that you can't bring yourself to say (like Hail Marys) with something else. The book offers one example so if you don't like it then I guess you're supposed to come up with your own replacement. (Which is fine, but I'd rather not have spent money on a pamphlet to get the advice "do whatever.")The pamphlet describes what a Dominican rosary looks like & is used for in Catholicism along with the basic Catholic rosary prayer. It then says you can replace Hail Marys with an alternative Hail Jesus sort of thing. It was all written in a kind of confusing way, but then I've never prayed the rosary.

I thought that this was a book about Anglican Rosaries. I believe the title should read "The Roman Catholic Rosary for use by other Christians" I do not want to pray the Catholic Rosary in the Catholic way. The Anglicans have a beautiful rosary. I was looking for a simple guide of prayers and methods for the Anglican Rosary, not instructions on how to use a Catholic Rosary.

My daughter has expressed an interest in the Rosary and I have been searching for a clear guide for her to follow and use for her daily prayer. As Episcopalians, this is a handy reference for a tradition we adopt but that is not our own. We will be coming to it again and again.

I'd been a fan of Dr. Laura Schlessinger for decades. I saw she wrote the proper care & feeding of marriage and was really excited to go over her ideas on the proper care and feeding of marriage. I was really shocked when what I listened to was the blatant rhetoric of marriage is about the man's happiness and most unhappy marriages are due to wives unhappily verbally abusing their husbands. That was the gist of this book, I kid you not.There was no topics of how to go about meaningful conversations you and your spouse can have to enrich your marriagr or any of that. Just the usual patriarchy mentality of women are to blame. Period.I would have expected some focus on women in the prequel of this book, the proper care and feeding of husbands. But thought this one might be written from a marriage balance standpoint. It may as well be the same book and, really, we're entering the 21st century. Wives are working, in increasing numbers, toward careers, desperately trying to figure out how to delegate these tasks with more equality in mind. Husbands, are trying to work toward figuring out balance work and home life more.Address some real issues and stop woman shaming.

GREAT book - well written! VERY practical and mostly Biblical (though not written from that perspective). A MUST READ for couples with problems. VERY HELPFUL for couples with good / happy marriages!

I may not agree on everything she advises, but she has helped my marriage two-fold. I now have a different perspective on the way I handle the things I say and I realize my feelings are not facts. I also got the book for my husband and he is enjoying the information and benefits also. We strongly recommend everyone read this book!

This book could have saved my marriage had I only read it last year instead of just now. I feel like this book was written to and about me-with so many eye opening stories and suggestions. I was completely against reading this book when it was first given to me as a gift. I can now see why it was a gift-and one that I should have actually used.

Even though I would never thrust such a great book at my wife and say read this, I now know that my insurmountable issues are merely the common cold of relationships. Great read Gents.

Marriage is always a work in progress. When I feel we need a little resent or realignment this is my go to book. But I have also found Dr. Laura’s advice as a good guide for marriage in general.

My entire marriage, I played the victim and fell into so many traps described in this book. Reading this book opened my eyes and has changed my attitude and perspective...and as an unintended result, my husband's attitude and perspective. Our marriage was failing, but we are now enjoying the happiest days of our marriage. Thank you, Dr. Laura!
